American Solar Challenge

Brizo debuted the 2021 American Solar Challenge. Accompanied by our largest race team yet, Brizo drove almost 1000 miles starting in Independence, MO to Santa Fe, NM along the Santa Fe National Historic Trail. This was Illini Solar Car's best race thus far. Brizo placed 3rd place in the Formula Sun Grand Prix qualifier race, and 4th on the road.
Brizo will race again this summer at the 2022 American Solar Challenge. This race will take place along the Oregon National Historic Trail starting again in Independence, MO and ending somewhere along the trail in Idaho. Our team is excited to race Brizo with improvements we've made in the 2021-2022 school year.
